Hello world, it’s me Alex

Welcome to My Safe Space – Where Neurodivergent Life Meets Everyday Comfort

I’m so happy you’ve landed here.

This space, Alex Grace at Home, is where I get to share the things that make life a little easier, a little cosier, and a lot more me. It’s for anyone navigating the ups and downs of everyday life, especially if you’re neurodivergent like me, and trying to create a home, a routine, and a rhythm that actually works for your brain.

A Bit About Me

I live by the sea, run a pasta and cocktail bar, and love animals, stationery, home comforts, and slow, meaningful living. But for a long time, I didn’t really understand why life often felt so much harder than it seemed to be for everyone else.

I was diagnosed with ADHD and autism as an adult. Suddenly, everything clicked, the overwhelm, the burnout, the constant mental noise, the hyperfocus on things I loved, and the complete shutdown when life got too much. It explained why I could build a business with ease but forget to eat lunch. Why I could plan the big picture but trip over daily tasks.

Since then, I’ve been slowly learning how to live in a way that supports my brain instead of fighting it, and honestly, it’s changed everything.

Why I Started This Website

I created alexgraceathome.com as a space to share what’s helped me, and to connect with people who might be on a similar journey.

Here you’ll find:

  • Honest posts about living with ADHD and autism as an adult
  • Tips for building a calmer, more functional home life that suits neurodivergent needs
  • Comfort food and routines that ground me when everything feels too much
  • Reflections on running a small business, managing energy, and avoiding burnout
  • Gentle advice and encouragement for building a slower, softer lifestyle that actually fits

Most of all, I want this to be a space where we can talk honestly about the realities of being neurodivergent. Where we can unmask, feel seen, and support one another. Whether you’re looking for routine hacks, sensory-friendly home ideas, or just someone else who gets it, I hope you feel welcome here.

What I’m Hoping to Build

At the heart of this, I’m looking to find and grow a community of like-minded people. People who want to live with intention, support each other, and share ideas that make life easier, especially when your brain doesn’t work the way the world expects it to.

I’ll be sharing everything from daily routines and favourite tools, to recipes, creative projects, and reflections on running a business while managing executive dysfunction. Some days will be structured, some will be chaos but it will always be real.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed, self-identifying, or simply trying to live a little more gently, I want this to be a place you can visit and feel a little less alone.

Thank You for Being Here

This isn’t about perfection, it’s about creating a life that feels like home. And if anything I share here helps make your life feel even 1% easier, calmer, or more joyful, then this whole thing is worth it.

So here’s to routines that work for you. To building community. To learning as we go.
I’m really glad you’re here.

With love,
Alex
